As part of the first CCA increment, the Dark Merlin began semi-autonomous flight trials in early 2026. It utilizes the "Sidekick" autonomy system to fly alongside F-35s and F-47s, designed to carry extra missiles or electronic jammers into high-threat zones where human risk is too high.
