XB-70 Valkyrie
North American · USA
The XB-70 was a marvel of 1960s engineering. Built mostly of stainless steel and titanium, it used "compression lift" by lowering its wingtips to stay airborne at extreme speeds. Only two were built, and it remains one of the most beautiful and ambitious aircraft ever flown.
