Sea Harrier FRS1 (Service Entry)
British Aerospace · UK
The Sea Harrier officially entered service in 1979. It was designed to operate from the Royal Navy’s new "through-deck" cruisers (Invincible-class). Its Blue Fox radar gave it the ability to detect and engage low-flying maritime strike aircraft, a role that would be put to the test in the South Atlantic.
